Cubby & Jax!
Jax and Cubby were both taken my A Second Chance For English Setters on Saturday January 31st, 2015. Cubby & Jax were two english setters that were found wondering the streets. They were not found together, but bonded at the shelter, and left together. Jax was the older of the two, he came in VERY emaciated and we had to help him fatten up! He was a very, very, shy fellow; slow to approach anyone. But, he was a sweet and quiet dog. Cubby, was the opposite! Cubby was a little puppy that loved everyone and wanted everyones attention. He was full of energy and loved to try and steal everyones food.

Gena & Baby Girl!
Gena and Baby Girl were surrendered to the shelter as a pair, and something very rare happened.... They were able to leave as a pair!! Ms. Patricia and her two daughter adopted both of our girls! They were so very happy to leave together, and we are so very happy that we did not have to separate the bonded pair. :)

Rosemary!
Rosemary was taken by Ms. Kathleen, who works at a shelter in Illinois called New Beginnings For Cats. She was an elderly cat, 14 years old, with only a few teeth left and slowly going blind in both eyes. We are happy that she is in a home with an experienced animal expert so she can live out her days peacefully, in a wide open space!

Pepper!
Pepper was surrendered to the shelter by an older gentleman that wasn't aware that he was allergic to dog. Pepper was a jumpy dog, easily frightened by loud noises. And with all the dogs in the shelter, the barking terrified her. Thankfully though, she was adopted maybe two days after she got here! She was adopted by a Mr. Chad from Griffith. We wish her the best in her new loving home.
